Giants Vs. Reds: Pablo Sandoval Extends Hit Streak To 19 Straight

San Francisco Giants third baseman Pablo Sandoval has picked up right where he left off in his All-Star season of 2011, extending his hit streak to start the season to 19 straight games after slapping a single in the fourth inning of Thursday's contest against the Cincinnati Reds.

Even though the Giants have already lost the series, Pablo has imply been spectacular. owning the major leagues longest hitting streak at the moment, which includes three home runs and and 13 RBI. His 24 hits is tied for fifth in the National League, while taking over as the Giants franchise leader, besting Johnny Rocker's 18 game streak back in 1945 when the Giants still played at the Polo Grounds in New York.

You can see the hit for yourself here.

Hopefully the rest of the team can get hot as well as the Black and Orange will need some offense to avoid being swept again at the Great American Ballpark.
