According to a report from CSN Bay Area's Andrew Baggarly, the San Francisco Giants have placed Aubrey Huff on the 15-day DL with what the team is calling anxiety.
Manger Bruce Bochy adressed the media before Wednesday's matchup with the Cincinnati Reds, letting everyone know the news, and that Huff is undergoing treatment and will be back with the club when the return to San Francisco for their series with the San Diego Padres.
The 35-year old Huff was hitting only .182 in 12 games he'd played, along with one home run in 33 at-bats this season.
Joaquin Arias was recalled from Triple-A Fresno to fill the vacancy on the roster, though with Brandon Belt, Brett Pill and Buster Posey able to spilt time at first base, the Giants don't necessarily need him back anytime soon, but as a fan favorite and member of the 2010 World Series squad, you have to feel bad for the guy and can only wish him the very best and a speedy recovery.
