San Francisco Giants second baseman Freddy Sanchez has been making the most of his at bats with Single-A San Jose as part of his rehab from shoulder surgery, playing a main role in the Giants 9-5 victory over the High Desert Mavericks.

Sanchez went 2-4 with two singles and three RBI as part of the Giants' 17 hit, come from behind victory Tuesday night, including the key two-run hit to break the game open for San jose in the sixth inning. He is now 3-7 in the designated hitter role, but still is yet to graduate to playing time at second base.

Sanchez will get some more action Wednesday night as the Giants series with the Mavericks continues at Municipal Stadium. First pitch is set for 7 p.m. PT. Tickets for that game are available here.
