Mets Vs. Giants, Starting Lineups: Brandon Belt Gets The Start In Game 1 Of Double-Header

It’s been an interesting trip to New York for the San Francisco Giants, playing back-to-back walkoff games against the Mets, followed by a torrential downpour forcing a double-header on Monday. But the show must go on, and the Giants are ready to close out the series win with a pair of victories.

Skipper Bruce Bochy used the same lineup he posted yesterday, with Brandon Belt will be getting the start at first, batting sixth, while Nate Schierholtz starts in right field, batting fifth.

Pablo Sandoval and Buster Posey look to keep their hot streaks going at the plate, with Pablo currently owning the NL’s longest hitting streak at 14 straight games to start the season, two shy of tying Willie Mays record of 16 set in 1960. As for Buster, he is 11-20 over his past five games and 4-8 in this series.
