The San Francisco Giants and New York Mets have been having a weird series already in the Big Apple, and it will only get weirder now that Saturday’s matinee matchup was postponed due to rain, forcing the teams to play a double-header to decide the series on Monday.
Tim Lincecum, who was supposed to by the starter on Saturday, will get the nod in the first game of Monday, taking on the Mets’ Miguel Batista starting at 1:10 p.m. PT. Madison Bumgarner will make his regular start on Monday against the Mets Dillon Gee instead on Johan Santana who was set to make the start, according to CSN Bay Area’s Andrew Baggarly.
