Giants Vs. Mets, Starting Lineups: Buster Posey Starts At First Base, Brett Pill In Left Field

The San Francisco Giants are set to square off with the team that replaced them at the Polo Grounds in Manhattan, taking on the New York Mets in a four game set starting Friday at Citi Field.

Skipper Bruce Bochy had been rather steady with his lineups compared to seasons past, but has his first real switcharoo with Buster Posey getting his first start of the season at first base, just like Boch had promised. Hector Sanchez will be behind the dish catching Barry Zito once again as those two have obviously built a nice rapport, while Brett Pill gets another start, this time in left field and batting fifth.

The Giants are going almost all-right handed against Jon Niese tonight, with Brandon Crawford the only true lefty in the lineup as Angel Pagan, Pablo Sandoval, Hector Sanchez, and Emmanuel Burriss are all switch-hitters.

  1. Angel Pagan CF
