San Francisco Giants fans are well aware of the lovable Kung Fu Panda but there is a new animal taking over the stands at AT&T Park, and it's the baby giraffe. Thats right, Brandon Belt, aka the Baby Giraffe, got the chance to go to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo to meet and greet their newborn male giraffe calf Brandon, named after the Giants rookie sensation.
↵The 6-foot-2 calf is a few inches shy of Brandon at the moment, but will eventually grow up to 18 feet tall, with a neck seven foot long neck to boot. But it was easy to see why he got the nickname, as the resemblance between the two is easy to see.
↵↵↵↵"This morning has been one of the best mornings of my life," Belt said. "To have a newborn giraffe named after me, let alone me standing side-by-side him, it's amazing."
