After two nights in a row of solid offense from the San Francisco Giants, they’ll look to keep the trend going for Matt Cain tonight against the San Diego Padres.
Cain leads the National League thus far in quality starts with 24, and is 10-5 when doing so this season; couple that with the possibility of some run support and you have all the makings for a W.
Cody Ross will lead off again, but play left field instead of center this evening. Brett Pill will be at first base batting fifth, Orlando Cabrera at shortstop batting sixth, and Justin Christian in center batting seventh. Eli Whiteside will be the backstop this evening for Matt Cain.
