It’s been a rough series thus far with the Los Angeles Dodgers for the Black and Orange, having two All-Star performances from two of their All-Star pitchers yield nothing but two losses. Now they turn to youngster Madison Bumgarner to continue his great second half of the season and hopefully plate a few runs against the Dodgers Hiroki Kuroda this afternoon.
Skipper Bruce Bochy put veteran Aubrey Huff back at first, marking his first start in the last week after sticking with rookie Brett Pill for a couple of games after his hot start in the Show down in San Diego. Brandon Crawford will be at shortstop, while Eli Whiteside will catch Bummy today.
