Giants vs. Cubs, Starting Lineups: Giants Getting Healthier, Looking to Make a Charge

The time is now.

This pivotal series for the San Francisco Giants may play a significant role in their push towards the playoffs, lingering four games out of first place in the NL West and a month straight of sub .500 teams ahead of them. This will be their last regular season series outside of the NL West with the division leading D’backs up next, needless to say the G-Men need to make up some room.

One of their biggest hurdles has been injuries this season, though they are starting to get healthier. Carlos Beltran has been effective since returning form the DL, and with Sergio Romo back in the bullpen they regain one of their domineering personalities on the mound. Hopefully they can get some runs and some W’s over the next few days.
