San Francisco Giants Claim Heath Bell On Waivers

ESPN's Buster Olney tweeted the bombshell news that the San Francisco Giants have claimed the San Diego Padres' All-Star closer Heath Bell on waivers.

As expected, Giants are the team that was awarded the claim on Bell. Whether the Giants/SD can make a deal could depend on Wilson concernless than a minute ago via web Favorite Retweet Reply

Both sides will still have to agree upon a deal that would give the Giants two All-Star closers, and the Padres would be foolish not to ask for anything under the sun from the Giants. And with these teams currently playing each other up at AT&T Park, it makes the move even more interesting because theoretically Bell could simply walk from one clubhouse to another, but that likely won't happen.

With the health status of both Sergio Romo and Brian Wilson up in the air, the addition of Bell would be huge. But once again, the team's have to make a deal before anything would happen.
