Giants vs. Padres, Starting Lineups: Beltran Activated, Not In Lineup Tonight For Giants

Well Giants fans, your team has returned home at a crucial point in their season, looking to regain a grip upon first place in the NL West. But first, they must defeat the San Diego Padres, a team that always seems to play well at AT&T.

Carlos Beltran was activated from the DL Tuesday after taking batting practice from both sides of the plate pain-free. He will not be in the lineup though, but may be available off the bench. Nate Schierholtz will sit tonight with his ongoing sore foot he is playing through, keeping both Brandon Belt and Aaron Rowand in the outfield tonight.

On the pitching front, Sergio Romo did some throwing but is still uncertain about his timetable for return, while Jonathan Sanchez is doubtful for his next start and may hit the DL. Brian WIlson has done no throwing yet, while Eli Whiteside is looking at a Thursday return from his stint on the DL.
