MLB Standings Update: Giants Keep Two Game Lead Over Pesky Diamondbacks in NL West

As we approach the Midsummer Classic and the unofficial half way point in the season, the San Francisco Giants keep finding ways to win as they maintain a two game lead in the NL West over the Arizona Diamondbacks. The D'backs seemingly refuse to be ignored as they remain well above .500 and only one good series if the G-Men are struggling from taking the top spot from them.

The rest of the division is a battle of attrition between the Rockies, Padres and Dodgers, all well below .500 and struggling to keep treading water. Colorado is a game and a half ahead of San Diego, even though the Rockies are losers of their last five. the Padres took the first two of four from the Giants at AT&T, but left town where they started after losing the last two, staying 10 games behind.

And for the Dodgers, well, let's just say it's been a bad season down in Tinsel Town. They did win Thursday night against the Mets, which is a start.
