With two wins over the Cleveland Indians by the skin of their noses already in the books, the San Francisco Giants are looking to earn a series sweep against the Tribe Sunday evening at AT&T Park. This year's hard luck starter, Madison Bumgarner, will be looking for his fourth win of the season and a little retribution from his nightmare of a start earlier this week against the Twins.
In only 1/3 of an inning Bumgarner (3-9) allowed eight earned runs on nine hits leading to a dominating 9-2 Twinkies win, but hopefully can bounce back this evening and get back to his ways before hand where he had nine quality starts in a row. A little run support to back the guy wouldn't hurt either.
The Giants will have to deal with Fausto Carmona (4-9) who is coming off a rough start of his own. Carmona allowed seven runs in four and 2/3 innings of work against the Rockies while striking out none. Needless to say both Carmona and Bummy would like to get it going tonight.
First pitch is set for 5:05 p.m. PT this evening with coverage on ESPN and KNBR 680 AM.
