Giants vs. Cardinals, Starting Lineups: Stay Hot Freddy Sanchez

The San Francisco Giants’ bullpen gave one away on Tuesday to the St. Louis Cardinals, but may have a chance to redeem themselves today. That is, of course, all dependent on how starter Tim Lincecum fares, who always is a threat to throw a complete game.

The Giants have now lost four of their last five games decided by one run after winning their last 10 consecutive one run games, but baseball always seems to even itself out like that. Needless to say, the G-Men need to score some runs, and hopefully the hottest bat on the team will come through for them today.

Freddy Sanchez has hit safely in 13 of his last 15 games played, sporting a .371 average over that span with six doubles and seven RBI’s. He’s also 7-17 against lefties, something that will hopefully play into the Giants hands today.

As for the lineup, Nate Schierholtz will be in right field batting fifth, Cody Ross will be in left batting sixth, while Brandon Crawford will get another start at shortstop, batting seventh.
