After the San Francisco Giants won a rain shortened matchup in terrible conditions yesterday by a score of 3-0, the third and final game of the series has been postponed due to the rain.
Tim Lincecum was set to face the Cubs Carlos Zambrano, but he likely will be moved back a day to face Ubaldo Jimenez and the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field tomorrow. There hasn’t been an official make up date announced for this game yet, but the Giants will return to Wrigley June 28-30 which likely now will entail a double-header during one of their 3 games there. The Cubs actually have a scheduled make up game June 27, so they may have a long series if they have to play a double-header after playing a game that was scheduled originally as a day off.
