Giants v. Cardinals, MLB Schedule Preview: Lineups Set for the Giants Home Opener

The San Francisco Giants home opener is this afternoon and will start a historical weekend of reminiscing fond memories and celebrating the success of their 2010 championship season. The St. Louis Cardinals should prove to be a worthy adversary to try and crash the Giants homecoming party over the next 2 days, starting today after the World Series banner is raised before today’s game.

Jake Westbrook (0-1) will get the start for the Cardinals today and will face Jonathan Sanchez (0-1) for the Giants, both looking for their first win of the season. Sanchez has a 2-0 record against the Cardinals in the last 5 years with a 2.19 ERA and 10 K over that span.
