Giants vs. Dodgers, In Game Update: Pablo Sandoval, Pat Burrell Homer in 3-3 Tie, Bottom 7th

Pablo Sandoval blasted a moon shot to right field in the second and Pat Burrell broke out of his 1-13 slump to start the season with a dinger of his own as the San Francisco Giants have battled back to a 3-3 tie with the Los Angeles Dodgers at dodger Stadium tonight.

Barry Zito’s night is done, finishing the night with 6.0 innings pitched allowing 3 hits, 3 earned runs, 2 walks and 5 strikeouts. All of the runs for the Dodgers came in the first inning as Zito threw only 15 pitches that allowed a Matt Kemp 2 run homer and a Jamie Carroll RBI triple with Aubrey Huff whiffing on a diving grab in right field.

Buster Poseey has the other RBI for the Giants with a single in the 6th that scored Freddy Sanchez.

It’s going to be a bullpen battle from here on in, sure wish Wilson was ready to go, this is his kind of game.
