Giants vs. Pirates, MLB Schedule Preview: Matt Cain Looking to Stop the Bleeding for Struggling Giants

The San Francisco Giants are looking to regroup after being swept at home by the Atlanta Braves, and can start the healing this afternoon against the Pittsburgh Pirates. The Giants will be in the Steel City for a three game set, the beginning of a 10 game East Coast roadie, which can either get the Giants back on track or send them off lost in the woods.

With the sweep the Giants fell below .500 to 10-11 on the season, not exactly how'd the defending champs would have liked to start. But it is what it is, and now they have to get back to winning ball games. Matt Cain (2-1 3.42 ERA) will get the start for the G-Men today, squaring off with Charlie Morton (2-1 3.33 ERA) for the Pirates.

First pitch is set for 4:05 PT and can be seen on CSN Bay Area and heard on KNBR 680 AM.
