Giants Vs. Rockies, MLB Schedule Preview: Giants Looking For Sweet at Coors Field

The San Francisco Giants have started to get a on a roll here in late April, winning 9 of their last 12. Now they will be looking to earn a sweep today against the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field despite them being one of the hottest teams in basebal;.

The first two games in the series the Giants used a combination of the long ball, big first innings, and quality starting pitching to cool the NL West leaders down. Jonathan Sanchez and Tim Lincecum each held the Rockies to 4 hits or less, and their dynamic duo of Carlos Gonzales and Troy Tulowitzki are a combined 1-14 over the last two games. There’s albo been 5 different Giants that have gone yard over the past two days, they must like playing at Coors.

Matt Cain (2-0 1.42 ERA) will be on the mound today to take on Jorge De La Rosa (2-0 3.18 ERA) in a battle of undefeated pitchers in the low altitude in Denver. Hopefully Cain can continue his dominance and keep the Rockies dormant for the third straight game.

First pitch is set for 12:10 PT and can be seen on CSN Bay Area and heard on KNBR 680 AM.
