Giants v. Mariners, 2011 Spring Training Preview: Giants Face Mariners for Second Time in Three Days

As the Cactus League schedule keeps on keeping on, so do the San Francisco Giants as they are set to take on the Seattle Mariners for the second time in three days at the Peoria Sports Complex. The Giants are 9-3 thus far in Spring Training and are looking to continue their hot streak after a 4-1 win last night over their World Series opponents the Texas Rangers. First pitch today is scheduled for 12:05 PT (1:05 MT) and can be heard on KNBR 650.

Veteran Ryan Vogelsong will get another start in place of the injured Matt Cain whose inflammed right elbow has cost him two starts, but is not a major issue as Cain has been playing catch and doing some flat ground pitching with the possibility of throwing to hitters today.

Here’s today’s lineup for you San Francisco Giants:

CF Darren Ford
SS Miguel Tejada
1B Aubrey Huff
C Buster Posey
RF Nate Schierholtz
LF Gary Neal
2B Mike Contempt
3B Ryan Rohlinger
DH Eli Whiteside
P Ryan Vogelsong

Hope you get a chance to catch some of the action today, but if you can’t, stay with SB Nation Bay Area for a full postgame wrap up.
