Giants v. Mariners, Spring Training Preview: Timmy Squares Off With His Hometown Mariners

Tim Lincecum is slated for his third start of the 2011 Cactus League schedule today as the San Francisco Giants face the Seattle Mariners at Scottsdale Stadium. Lincecum, who is from Renton, WA and a University of Washington alumni, is looking to shut down his hometown team and continue his progress towards a successful regular season.The Giants are off to a 7-3 start in their first 10 Spring Training games and hope to continue that success against a Seattle team that has started 3-3-1 (no extra innings in early Spring Training games). Southpaw Nate Robinson will get the start for the Mariners today.
