Opening day is only three days away, and what a better preface to another season of San Francisco Giants baseball than an exhibition matchup with the Oakland A’s at AT&T Park. After a productive spring down in Scottsdale, the Giants are looking to get off on the right foot tonight in the battle of the Bay, as well as even up the preseason series between these teams at 2 games a piece.
The GIants will have Matt Cain on the mound tonight facing the lefty Brett Anderson for the A’s. Both have had some rough spring outings and are looking to get the final kinks worked out before the start of the regular season.
San Francisco Giants Lineup:
CF Andres Torres
2B Freddy Sanchez
RF Aubrey Huff
C Buster Posey
LF Pat Burrell
SS Miguel Tejada
1B Brandon Belt
3B Pablo Sandoval
SP Matt Cain
The Giants lineup will probably be pretty similar to the one on opening day, with the exception of Brandon Belt, who is still not be officially put on the opening day roster or not. I’m hoping the kid makes it really bad, he could be a huge addition to this Giants lineup.
Coverage begins at 7 p.m. on CSN Bay Area tonight, as well as radio coverage on both KNBR 680 and KFRC. Gonna be a good one tonight folks, even though it doesn’t count.
