After dismantling the Angels last night, the San Francisco Giants will look to do the same against the Los Angeles Dodgers today, moving their record to an astounding 18-5 so far in the Cactus League and the best record in all of baseball.
Of course it’s still Spring Training, but it’s nice to know that the Giants are in first place. Their pitching has been lights out (as usual) but it’s been some of the veteran guys trying to make the squad that have impressed as much as the regular season guys we all know and love. One of those guys will get the start today in Jeff Suppan, who has shown a lot of promise in his preseason time and is a leading candidate to take the Giants 12th and final roster poster in the bullpen. This will be a important start for him and will likely go most of the game, I’d like to see him do well and make the team for the regular season, but he’s got some stiff competition.
Your San Francisco Giants:
2B Mike Fontenot
SS Miguel Tejada
1B Aubrey Huff
3B Pablo Sandoval
RF Nate Schierholtz
CF Aaron Rowand
LF Travis Ishikawa
C Chris Stewart
