Giants v. White Sox, 2011 Spring Training Preview: Giants Head to Glendale to Take on the Sox

After another hard fought Cactus League win for the San Francisco Giants last night, they’re ready to continue their little road trip in Glendale, Arizona as they are set to face the Chicago White Sox. It will be another pitchers duel today as Tim Lincecum will take on Mark Buehrle at Camelbcak Ranch, the home away from home the White Sox share with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

In bearded savior related news, Today is Brian Wilson’s 29th birthday, although he is starting to gain some resemblance to Rip Van Winkle as of late, here’s what Giants Beat writer Henry Schulman tweeted about Wilson:

Brian Wilson not pitching on 29th birthday today, but will go on St. Patty’s night tomorrow: “Just my heritage day, that’s all.”

Plus, he’ll probably get enough partying in tonight he won’t need a St. Patrick’s celebration.

Your San Francisco Giants:

2B Emmanuel Burriss
SS Mike Fontenot
3B Mark DeRosa
CF Aaron Rowand
LF Travis Ishikawa
1B Brandon Belt
RF Nate Schierholtz
DH Brad Eldred
C Eli Whiteside
P Tim Lincecum

First pitch is slated for 1:05 p.m. and will be televised on the MLB Network. Should be another good day of baseball in the Valley of the Sun.
