After a good win in game one and a lineup shuffle, it's Tim Lincecum up tonight for the Giants in the second game of a three-game homestand against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Lincecum switched places with rookie Madison Bumgarner with eyes on the upcoming series against the Padres.
Lincecum has mostly-returned to his ace form, winning four of his last five starts, winning his last start on Friday against the Rockies, striking out nine over eight innings allowing only one run. He's 15-10 with a 3.51 ERA in 32 starts. He's 1-1 against the Diamondbacks in four starts this season.
The Diamondbacks are sending Ian Kennedy to the mound, who will try and pick up the win that Rodrigo Lopez was unable to last night. Kennedy is pitching less-than-stellar, but is still avoiding losses on his record, pitching four straight no-decisions and is 3-0 over his last nine. In 31 starts, he's 9-9 this year, with a 3.76 ERA. He's 1-1 against the Giants in four career starts with them, and the Giants lead the season series 11-5.
