Brian Wilson Loses Save, Giants Lose In Extra Innings

Denver, CO (Sports Network) - Troy Tulowitzki's sensational September continued with a game-winning, RBI double in the 10th inning, lifting the Rockies to a much-needed 10-9 victory over the Giants in the middle test of a critical three-game series between the playoff-hopeful division foes.

Tulowitzki went 4-for-5 with a home run, two doubles and five RBI, including a two-run double off Brian Wilson to tie the game in the eighth.

Wilson (3-3) stayed in after blowing his fifth save of the year and gave up an infield single to Carlos Gonzalezwith one out in the 10th. Tulowitzki then laced a line drive to the left-field gap that Pat Burrell had a tough time with, stumbling over his own feet as he tried to get the ball back in.

Gonzalez, meanwhile, raced around the bases and slid in without a play at the plate to snap Colorado's five-game slide, pulling the club within four games of the now NL West-leading Padres.

San Francisco came in with a half-game edge over San Diego, but switched spots despite home runs fromAubrey HuffFreddy SanchezCody Ross and Andres Torres. The Giants are tied atop the wild card race with the Atlanta Braves.
