Network to Celebrate San Francisco’s First World Series Championship

With Over 3 Hours of Live Coverage

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – Comcast SportsNet Bay Area, the on-air and online home of "Authentic Bay Area Sports," celebrates the 2010 World Champion San Francisco Giants with live coverage of the ticker-tape parade and the City Hall celebration beginning at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow (Wednesday, November 3). In addition, CSNBayArea.com will provide live video streaming of the entire parade and civic celebration beginning at 10:30 a.m. The network’s parade coverage will be commercial-free. Comcast SportsNet Bay Area’s live championship celebration coverage is presented by Esurance, Toyota, Farmers Insurance and Sport Clips.

Comcast SportsNet Bay Area’s parade and City Hall coverage will feature Greg Papa, Dave Benz and a scheduled appearance from actor/comedian and life-long Giants fan Rob Schneider from the network’s studio; Brodie Brazil and Kate Longworth stationed along the parade route; Amy Gutierrez with exclusive access walking alongside the floats; and Scott Reiss, Jaymee Sire and Mychael Urban from City Hall, providing viewers with live reports along the parade route, including an inside look at the celebration with exclusive interviews and access to Giants players, coaches, legends and front office executives.

The parade will begin on Montgomery Street at Washington Street at 11:00 a.m. and go southbound on Montgomery Street to Market Street, before continuing westbound on Market Street to Civic Center Plaza. Following the parade, on the steps of City Hall, Mayor Gavin Newsom will present the Giants with the key to the City and honor the World Series Champions in a civic celebration. The parade route will replicate the route taken by the team when they first came to San Francisco from New York in 1958.

Comcast SportsNet Bay Area will re-air the parade coverage later that night at 11:00 p.m. as well as the following day on Thursday, November 4 at 1:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. The SportsNet Central Giants Orange November coverage following last night’s World Series-clinching victory against the Texas Rangers will also be re-aired today at 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
