Giants-Phillies NLCS Game 6: Lincecum, Wilson Get Giants Through Eighth Up 3-2

The Giants found themselves in another tough two runner situation but managed to escape thanks to a double play in the bottom of the eighth. The Giants sent Tim Lincecum on in relief to start the inning and he struck out Jayson Werth with relative ease. He then had to battle Shane Victorino who eventually managed a 2-2 single to right.

After Raul Ibanez followed that up with another single to right, manager Bruce Bochy immediately went to his bullpen and brought on closer Brian Wilson for a chance at a five out save. Wilson came on and forced Carlos Ruiz to line out to first baseman Aubrey Huff, who then flipped the ball over to first to double off Victorino and end the inning.

The Giants send out Nate Schierholtz, Andres Torres, and Freddy Sanchez to face Brad Lidge in the top of the ninth.
