Giants-Phillies NLCS Game 6: Bumgarner Gets Around Leadoff Double, Game Remains Tied 2-2

Madison Bumgarner flirted with danger for a second straight inning before working out of the inning. Bumgarner gave up a leadoff double to Raul Ibanez to start the sixth inning. Carlos Ruiz then sacrificed Ibanez to third, bringing up the pitcher’s spot in the order. Pinch hitter Ben Francisco was ahead 2-0 in the count but Bumgarner worked his way back to strike out Francisco looking. Jimmy Rollins flew out to center to end the inning.

The Phillies will send out relief pitcher Ryan Madson to face the 9-1-2 spots in the Giants order. Bumgarner is finished for the night with Travis Ishikawa pinch hitting for him. The Giants still have Santiago Casilla, Sergio Romo, Javier Lopez, Ramon Ramirez, Guillermo Mota and Brian Wilson available in the bullpen. If this game goes to extra innings, Tim Lincecum might even make an appearance.
