Giants-Phillies NLCS Game 6: Teams Release Lineups

The San Francisco Giants and Philadelphia Phillies released their lineups for tonight’s Game 6 matchup of the 2010 NLCS. The Giants have removed Pablo Sandoval from the lineup and reinserted shortstop Edgar Renteria, moving Juan Uribe over to third.

The Phillies made a couple significant moves, including moving Jimmy Rollins to the top of the lineup for the first time this postseason. Rollins has been hitting down around the six spot and is 5 for 19 with his one significant hit being the bases clearing double in Game 2.

Phillies manager Charlie Manuel also retained Chase Utley and Ryan Howard in the three and four spots in his lineup. They both have gotten on base and scored some runs, but having them together sets things up quite well for Giants lefty specialist Javier Lopez. Lopez has been fairly impressive this postseason and this could come into play late in tonight’s game.
