Javier Lopez continued his strong postseason with a second straight 1-2-3 inning of work against the best the Phillies have to offer. After taking down Utley, Polanco and Howard yesterday, Lopez took down forced an Utley pop-out and a Polanco double-play. Lopez had his first blemish, walking Victorino on four straight pitches, but worked around the base-runner.
Lopez was acquired at the trade deadline and has been incredibly solid as lefty-specialist who can also get the occasional righty out. Since coming over from Pittsburgh, Lopez has now given up just three runs in 22 1/3 innings.
