Giants-Phillies NLCS Game 4: Casilla Gives Up Lead On Polanco Double, Wild Pitch

After a solid start to the game for Madison Bumgarner, things unraveled in the fifth inning. After Bumgarner left the game up 2-1, relief pitcher Santiago Casilla came on and gave up three more runs to give the Phillies a 4-2 lead. Casilla gave up a double to Placido Polanco, which scored Shane Victorino and Chase Utley. He then intentionally walked Ryan Howard before grazing Jayson Werth’s jersey to load the bases. Polanco subsequently scored on a wild pitch that bounced in front of the plate and into the stands. Thankfully Casilla struck out Jimmy Rollins to end the inning.
