Giants-Phillies NLCS Game 4: Bumgarner Pulled With 2-1 Lead After Aaron Rowand Assist, Posey Scoop

Santiago Casilla is getting the call from the bullpen in the top of the fifth as Madison Bumgarner ran into some trouble. After Francisco and Ruiz singled to start the inning, Joe Blanton sacrificed the two over to second and third. Shane Victorino hit a bullet to center field that scored Francisco. Ruiz came around to try and score but was gunned down on a beautiful connection between Aaron Rowand and Buster Posey. Rowand fired a bullet to home that hit the dirt right in front of the plate. Posey made a very impressive scoop on the short hop and tagged out Ruiz for the second out of the inning.

Chase Utley followed that up with a single to center, and with men on first and second, Bruce Bochy decided to turn things over to his bullpen. Santiago Casilla came into the game in a double switch that sees Andres Torres in center field in place of Aaron Rowand. Bochy seems intent on going for the throat in this pivotal fourth game as a 3-1 lead is a tough deficit to overcome.
