Giants-Phillies NLCS Game 3: Cain, Hamels Hold Offenses Scoreless Into Third

The Giants and Phillies remained tied 0-0 heading into the bottom of the fourth inning of Game 3 of the 2010 NLCS. Hamels has been perfect through three while striking out three on 41 pitches. Matt Cain has struggled a bit but gotten out of dicey situations the last two innings, going four innings and giving up two hits, a walk and a hit batter.

In the third inning, Cain gave up a single and hit Shane Victorino before getting out of the inning. In the fourth Cain gave up a single and a walk with one out but worked around it with a Rollins fly out and Ibanez strike out. Cain has thrown 66 pitches through 4 innings and will be looking for some quick work in the coming innings.
