Brooks Conrad had a costly error in the ninth, the third of the contest, which allowed Freddy Sanchez to score from second in the Giants 3-2 win over the Braves in game three of the NLDS. Aubrey Huff came up and drove in Travis Ishikawa in the ninth to tie the game with a single. With two outs, Buster Posey singled up the middle in between Conrad's legs.
Conrad was also responsible for the Giants first run in the second inning on a dropped pop-up. It's Conrad's eighth error in seven games.
Giants starter Jonathan Sanchez pitched a good game and some believe he was pulled a little early. Sanchez pitched seven-plus innings and gave up two hits and one run while striking out eleven. Sergio Romo picked up the win for the Giants even though he pitched less than an inning and gave up a home run. Brian Wilson came in to the eighth inning and gave up one hit, a two-out single to Brian McCann, but Nate McLouth grounded out to end the game.
The Giants lead the series 2-1 and are looking to advance to the NLCS for the first time since 2002.
