The San Francisco 49ers head out for their second-straight road game when they face the New York Jets on Sunday at 10 a.m. PT. NFL pundits favor San Francisco in the match-up, as the Niners look to bounce back from a disappointing loss to the Minnesota Vikings in Week 4.
The panel at CBS Sports leans heavily in favor of the 49ers, as six of their eight experts went with the road team. Pete Prisco and Ryan Wilson went with the Jets.
At ESPN, Marcus Allen, Merrill Hoge, Adam Schefter, and Seth Wickersham all are going with San Francisco, with no detractors having filed their picks yet. As for the oddsmakers, they put the 49ers as 4 1/2 favorites over the Jets.
With the rest of NFC West looking like it will put up much more of a fight in 2012, it will be key for the 49ers to win games on the road against lesser competition. They were unable to do so last week, and the early start time is always a challenge, but it seems that not many across the web think that will be a problem for San Francisco.
