The 49ers are off to an impressive 2-0 start, but just because they have won both of their games doesn't mean they are satisfied with their performance. In fact, when it comes to football, head coach Jim Harbaugh is never satisfied.
Harbaugh was asked if he was satisfied with the 49ers coverage units on special teams. As it turns out, he isn't a big fan of using the word satisfied in relation to football at all.
"Satisfied is one of those words. That's one of those words, satisfied. Never satisfied with anything in football," Harbaugh said. "That's one of those words in football that's always confused me. Given me great confusion. Doesn't resonate. Satisfied is not a word that I associate with football or coverage units."
While he wouldn't use the word satisfied with football, it's likely Harbaugh isn't very happy with the 49ers special teams coverage thus far. San Francisco ranks 25th in the league in kick return coverage, allowing 27.4 yards per return. They are even worse in punt coverage, ranking 29th while allowing 22.5 yards per return.
