Aldon Smith Accident: 'Only Thing Messed Up Is The Car'

San Francisco 49ers linebacker Aldon Smith says he's "good" following a single-car accident he was involved in on Friday night in San Jose, according to a report from CSNBayArea.com.

"I was able to play in the game and make a big contribution," said Smith. "Everybody's good, we all walked away from it. The only thing messed up is the car."

The second-year player out the University of Missouri was wearing a seatbelt in the crash and suffered a laceration on his right eyelid that required stitches. The driver of the vehicle was reportedly transported to San Jose Regional Medical Center for what the CHP described as a "broken back," but Smith stated in an interview on Tuesday that all parties walked away from the crash. This is the 2011 first-round pick's third off-field incident in the last nine months, as he suffered multiple stab wounds in an altercation at a party in June, and received a DUI while driving in Miami Beach, Fla. in January.

Smith has 10 tackles and two sacks for the 49ers this season.
