There are many prominent NFL players that have revealed their positive feelings about gay marriage. Of the 27 that publicly support gay rights, several of them play for the San Francisco 49ers and the Oakland Raiders.
Four 49er defensive players did an It Gets Better Video, the first of its kind for the NFL. The It Gets Better campaign has an anti-bullying message directed at gay youth who are the victims of intimidation by their peers. 49ers running back LaMichael James indicated he was only concerned with the conduct of his teammates as football players and whether they performed well on the field; their conduct off the field didn't concern him. Raiders running back Taiwan Jones has a relative who is gay, and linebacker Kamerion Wimbley has similar feelings on the issue.
