49ers Sign Safety Darcel McBath To One-Year Deal

According to a tweet from Adam Caplan, the San Francisco 49ers have signed safety Darcel McBath and the 49ers have announced that it is a one-year contract.

McBath was drafted by the Denver Broncos with the 48th pick in the 2009 draft but never lived up to the expectations of being picked in that spot. McBath only played 20 games for the Broncos in 2009 and 2010. He most recently played for the Jacksonville Jaguars but was waived by the team in late April. He only played one game for the Jags.

McBath's signing completes the 49ers 90-man roster heading into training camp. McBath joins a crowded defensive backfield as the 49ers try to keep their standing as one of the best defenses in the NFL.

The former Texas Tech standout has accumulated 45 tackles and two interceptions in three seasons with his rookie season still standing as his best season.
