NFL Power Rankings: 49ers Sitting Pretty At No. 6

The San Francisco 49ers had a giant turnaround last season, but want to take it to the next level in 2012, winning themselves a sixth Super Bowl. And after the offseason they've had so far it's looking like they'll have a legitimate shot at making it.

SB Nation released their latest NFL power rankings, and the 49ers are right in the thick of things at No. 6 on the list.

Here is Joel Thorman with the commentary:

6. San Francisco 49ers (13-3, LW: 6): The 49ers biggest issue was the vertical passing game and they added Randy Moss and A.J. Jenkins in the offseason. Barring any injuries, this team will be very good again

They also added Mario Manningham, picked up former Stanford Cardinal Chris Owusu and Michael Crabtree and Ted Ginn certainly aren't slouches either. I think this wide receiver battle will be one of the toughest in all of football this offseason with all that talent hanging around.

Coming off their 2011 season Jim Harbaugh will certainly be setting the standards high for his 49ers.
