2012 NFL Draft Results: Rams Get Brian Quick In Second Round At No. 33

With the 33rd pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the St. Louis Rams select Brian Quick, WR from Appalachian State.

The Rams have been extremely busy this draft, first trading the second pick overall to Washington (Robert Griffin III) and then trading the sixth pick overall to Dallas (Morris Claiborne). With the 14th pick overall they took DT Michael Brockers from LSU, a player they had considered at sixth overall. It's been a solid draft so far for the Rams, getting the player they coveted while accumulating a glut of mid-round picks, including three second rounders.

The Rams' WR corps is totally bare with no bona fide starters, and Quick will provide a solid target for Sam Bradford the likes of which he has never enjoyed. Quick is a huge target at 6'4" and 220 pounds, with extremely long arms and good hands. He has good downfield speed and has a great second gear when stretching the field. He will make the Rams' offense more than just Steven Jackson and give them a new dimension to work with.

The pick was announced by former Rams stars Isaac Bruce and Torry Holt.
