2012 NFL Draft Results: Cincinnati Bengals Select Kevin Zeitler, A Potential 49ers Target

With the No. 27 pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the Cincinnati Bengals have selected offensive lineman Kevin Zeitler out of Wisconsin.

Though most of the mock drafts around the league initially had the San Francisco 49ers taking Coby Fleener, the tight end out of Stanford, the last week dramatically shifted to talk about the 49ers drafting an offensive guard - something that makes sense given the fact that the right guard position is the only position really not decided on the 49ers roster.

There's nobody outside of Daniel Kilgore at the position, so many had Zeitler going to San Francisco in the final week. By most accounts, it was down to Zeitler and Amini Silatolu - they both were mocked to San Francisco the most in the final week. The official Niners Nation Mock Draft Database had 12 mocks indexed giving the 49ers an offensive guard, with half of them mocking Zeitler to San Francisco.

Mocking The Draft had Zeitler as their No. 2 ranked guard prospect, behind David DeCastro, who went earlier to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
