NFL Draft 2012: San Francisco 49ers Pro Day Includes Coby Fleener

The San Francisco 49ers are a team that has completed most of their overall needs. They don't really need anyone in particular that would significantly upgrade their team; their starters are pretty well set.

The Niners don't have anyone lined up to be their first round draft pick. One player that could be in the mix is Coby Fleener of the Stanford Cardinal, who is familiar with Harbaugh. And he was at 49ers Pro Day yesterday. Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area files this report.

Fleener met with 49ers coaches but did not participate in any of the drills. Fleener is a possibility for the 49ers to select with the No. 30 overall pick. Fleener caught 34 passes for 667 yards and 10 touchdowns as a senior.

Stanford wide receiver Chris Owusu, who did not return to action after an early-November concussion, was also in attendance Wednesday but did not take part in drills. Owusu received full medical clearance after the season. He ran blistering 40 times from 4.31 to 4.36 seconds at NFL scouting combine in February

The local pro day is generally to get a lot of talent from local colleges their chance to shine. So you'll see a lot of Cal, Stanford, and San Jose State players showing up, along with other regular Bay Area and Northern California high school talent. Fleener is definitely the most significant player to show up there.
