NFL Mock Draft 2012: 49ers Select WR Stephen Hill, According to SI's Don Banks

The San Francisco 49ers have been busy this offseason re-signing key players like quarterback Alex Smith and cornerback Carlos Rogers and brining in weapons like Mario Manningham and Randy Moss to help extend the field.

But according to Sports Illustrated's Don Banks and his latest mock draft, the 49ers will continue to add weapons, picking up wide reciever Stephen Hill out of Georgia Tech with the No. 30 overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft.

Here's how Banks feels about the Niners taking Hill in this position:

The signing of both Randy Moss and Mario Manningham means the 49ers are no longer desperate at receiver, but imagine if they could land a blazer of a deep threat like Hill, whose 4.3 at the combine made everyone sit up and take notice. Alex Smith got over his hurt feelings and re-signed in San Francisco because he knew what was good for him.

Moss certainly isn't a 'blazer' anymore at 35 years old, Michael Crabtree has never really had than runaway speed, and Mannigham is quick, but not Hill quick. The Niners re-sigend Ted Ginn Jr. as well, likely the fastest receiver they currently have, but adding another dimension with Hill would certainly behoove the 49ers offensively.
