Linebacker and special team player Blake Costanzo spent 2011 with the San Francisco 49ers. He, like a great many other players, became a free agent on Tuesday. He seemed to have been hoping for a new contract with the Niners, but as of Tuesday hadn't heard anything from the team. To bolster his chances of receiving an offer from the San Francisco front office, he did what any teenage pop star person would do: he began retweeting people who said nice things about him.
Costanzo, who has an awesome Rocky IV background on his personal Twitter page, generally sends out a lot of Tweets like these:
Tony Montana tony montana livvvvvvvv

So it's no surprise that the player has over 9,600 followers on Twitter. Pretty much all of them think he should return to the 49ers, so he spent most of Tuesday retweeting the high praise of his fans. Hopefully the Niners GM is among his followers, or this would all just be a little silly. Here are a couple of gems:
Whos this Moss guy? I want @BlakeCostanzo51 back, ASAP!!!

It's not the end of the world for Contanzo, of course. In fact, Matt Maioco of CSN Bay Area reports that he has contract offers on the table as we speak. They're just not from the 49ers, is all.
Source confirms @mattbarrows report that Blake Costanzo has two offers; I'm told Blake Costanzo will not be back with the 49ers.

So thanks for the memories, Costanzo. You were, perhaps, the Jim Thome of the 2011 San Francisco 49ers.
