You can look at their record compared to last season to know that the San Francisco 49ers are having an epic turnaround in 2011, but you could also look at the awards their players have been racking up all season long. And in the award-giving spirit, the Associated Press released their 2011 NFL All-Pro squad in which five, count 'em five, San Francisco 49ers have made the team this year.
Linebackers Patrick Willis and NaVorro Bowman, defensive tackle Justin Smith, kicker David Akers and punter Andy Lee all made the grade according to the AP this season, as well as the NFL too because all these guys are going to the Pro-Bowl as well, with Bowman the lone alternate.
The 49ers led all teams with five picks to the All-Pro team. Who came in second? Well John Harbaugh and his Baltimore Ravens of course with three.
