Jim Harbaugh, Jonathan Goodwin Barely Escape Youngstown, Ohio Alive (Slight Exaggeration)

There's been a lot written in the past couple days about a little place called Youngstown, Ohio. I myself am going to be in Ohio rather soon, but I hadn't planned on stopping in at Youngstown, especially considering I have football and college allegiances that don't mesh with the rest of the city. Oh, I don't expect any trouble and by all accounts, the people there are good-natured and friendly. I actually had no plans to go regardless, I'm just trying to segue well into this piece ... did I do OK? No? Well you're going to read the next bit anyway.

Simply just gotta point out this piece from Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle, where he notes that the good folks at the children's hospital that the 49ers recently visited - that's kids, parents and hospital personnel, gave head coach Jim Harbaugh and center Jonathan Goodwin a good round of jeers when they mentioned their college - Michigan.

I suppose it's a good thing that Harbaugh and Co. didn't happen to visit a children's hospital in Oakland, or perhaps list rival high schools anywhere in Texas - they're serious about their high school football there.
