San Francisco 49ers Training Camp 2011: Crabtree Activated From PUP, Limited In Practice

49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree has officially been activated from the Physically Unable to Perform list and attended practice Tuesday, but according to Matt Maiocco, was still very limited.

Per Maiocco:

Crabtree joined the quarterbacks for the first drills of practice in which they take short drop backs and then fire passes off to the side. Crabtree typically took two steps before turning around and catching passes. He caught a few more passes at half speed before heading to a side field and joining Shawntae Spencer (hamstring) and Reggie Smith (knee) in their rehabilitation.

It appears Crabtree still has a ways to go before getting back to full speed while recovering from a broken foot he suffered in June. Crabtree started 15 games for the 49ers last season and caught 55 passes for 741 yards and 6 touchdowns. He should be an integral part of the Niners' offense this year if healthy so fans are hoping for the best from the 2009 10th pick overall. This is the third consecutive preseason in which Crabtree has missed time.
